Clawed ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered cat roasting app published by Evey Vendetta. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
1. Data We Collect
Photos. When you scan a photo, it is sent to Google Vertex AI (Gemini) to generate a roast. Photos are transmitted securely and are not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the request.
Account data. We use Firebase Authentication. You may sign in anonymously or with a Google account. We store a user ID linked to your Kibble balance and roast history.
Usage data. We collect roast history, Kibble balance, and in-app purchase records in Firebase Firestore to provide app functionality.
Advertising identifiers. Google AdMob and Unity Ads collect device advertising identifiers, IP addresses, and device information to serve ads. This is subject to your consent where required by law.
Purchase data. In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We receive confirmation of purchases to credit your account; full payment details are handled by Google.
Device integrity. We use Firebase App Check (Google Play Integrity) to verify that requests come from legitimate installs of Clawed. No personal data is collected beyond what is required for this check.

To generate AI roasts via Vertex AI (Gemini)
To maintain your Kibble balance and roast history
To process and verify in-app purchases
To serve ads and reward ad views (with your consent where required)
To prevent fraud and abuse via App Check
3. Third Parties
We share data with the following service providers, each with their own privacy policies:
Google LLC — Firebase (Auth, Firestore, App Check, Remote Config), Vertex AI (Gemini), AdMob advertising
Unity Technologies (via Google AdMob mediation) — Unity Ads may serve ads within the app. Unity's privacy policy: unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
4. Advertising and Consent
We use Google AdMob and Unity Ads to serve ads. Where required by law (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and applicable US states), we will ask for your consent before serving personalised ads. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time in the app's Settings screen.
If you decline personalised ads, you will still see ads but they will not be tailored to your interests.
5. Your Rights — EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your data
Object to or restrict processing
Withdraw consent for personalised advertising at any time

6. Your Rights — California and Other US States (CCPA / State Laws)
If you are a California resident or a resident of another US state with applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:
Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

7. Children
Clawed is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account data (Kibble balance, roast history) for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time. Photos submitted for roasting are not retained after the roast is generated.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase App Check, encrypted transit (TLS), and server-side purchase validation. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of Clawed after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
